Organized events at Barzulla and PS Kralkhud

Srinagar, January 18 (KNO) : Under Civic Action Programme, Srinagar police continues to organize sports events and has organized sports events at Bhagat Barzulla and Vasta Public School. Police Station Sadder Srinagar under the supervision of SDPO Sadder Shri Sandeep Bhat organized a sports event at Bhagat Barzulla. A large number of youth including students and local players participated in different sports activities including volley ball, Tug-of-War and Carrom. The volleyball match was won by Rawatpora Stars, Sunshine club won the Tug of war event while as in Carrom, Sahil Rashid and Arshid Farooq of Bhagat emerged as winners. Awards were distributed among the winners. Speaking on the occasion, SHO Shri Bhishm Dubey requested all players to maintain a healthy and competitive spirit in sports and also in other aspects of life as well. Moreover, participants were also acquainted with emerging problem of drug abuse menace and were advised to remain away from these sort of social evils. Meanwhile, another sports event was organized by Police Station KralKhud in which a number of local youth and students of Vasta Public School Kralkhud participated enthusiastically in a number of games including Badminton, table tennis, carrom etc. The aim to organize such events is to impart and inculcate the sense of discipline, sportsmanship and camaraderie among the youth.(KNO)
